Finally, here’s a treat you dont have to cook! Smoothie bowls have become popular as a health food fad but also as an easy to go to breakfast. You need a good blender, fruit that is frozen for at least 12 hours and a splash of milk. How you top your smoothie bowl is up to you. You may use fresh fruit, dried fruit, seeds or nuts to top your bowl. The varieties and possibilities are endless.
The combination of strawberries and bananas is delicious. You can use any combination of frozen fruit you have on hand. Strawberries and kiwis, mango and pineapples, oranges and bananas, pineapples and cherries are all potential combinations. To easily make smoothie bowls at any time of the day do some pre-work. Wash and portion your fruit in ziploc bags ahead of time. Be sure to remove peels and cores as they are much harder to remove once the fruit is frozen. Freeze for at least 12 hours. Do not allow fruit to thaw — use them right as they are pulled from the freezer. Make a delicious smoothie bowl and enjoy the goodness and absolute nourishment they give.
